The long wait was finally over and we met again on the second Sunday of December.
Every year, we have this Post Graduate Alumni Meet scheduled on the second Sunday of December to reconnect with friends from more than three decades, to share life updates in a nostalgic environment inside the University, offering a chance to relive our memories. We have a whatsapp group through which everyone is connected and this year there was a lot of excitement before the event, to increase the presence. Many people come from far distance and friends staying locally offered all kinds of assistance to ensure their smooth journey.
The event started with a silent prayer to pay tribute to one of our friend who passed recently. We have come to an age where life's reality takes precedence over our qualification, achievements and who can understand that better than our friends!! So let me present you some nostalgic moments of the day :
To enjoy the moments to the fullest, this time the organizers outsourced the food to a reputed caterer, ensuring to serve some delicious foods and here was the menu :

After all, good food is the most important part of the celebration. So after eating the starters, the real fun began with everyone joining the floor to dance together for more than two hours. These are the moments that makes us lively again, by relieving us from our day-to-day stress and freezing them in our memory to join again next year. I have lot of videos captured, which I will have to compile and present, but here is a short trailer :
And here are some of our final memoirs from the late lunch and before departure :
Presence of our department this year was better.
And we pledged to meet again.......the value of friendship is best understood by the Generation X and this year I took my son to the meet, to handle the photography, allowing me more time with friends.
He was very excited to see the close bonding between us and was telling me - how privileged you are to have such a nice friend circle, probably they will never have this kind of meet after 30 years, even with few of their friends. He has captured more than 25 GB of video, which I will have to compile and convert to another golden memoir, more to come on that...
