Sundays Are For Relaxing
I've just got home from the Waterloo Chicken Shop, my local fish and chip shop that also sells hot and cold chickens, salads, hamburgers, etc.
It's where the above photo was taken.
I ordered quarter chicken and chips and a 1.25 litre bottle of Coke No Sugar.
It's literally quarter of a chicken (your choice between leg or wing) with hot potato chips, peas and sliced carrots coated in gravy.
You can see how much chicken is here clearer in the image below.
Right now I am typing this and finishing off the meal while listening to a friends on TìkTok and scrolling through Facebook videos.
Some of that stuff is hilarious and other stuff is mindless misinformation.
The rest of the day was spent playing various games on my PS4. Rather frustratingly, many of the newer games I want to play are PS5 exclusives, like the new Star Wars one.
I bought the Shadowrun games as a bundle because they were on sale. They are a type of role playing game but set in a futuristic fantasy setting. So, there are guns, cars and computers while having orks, elves, dragons and magic too.
I am also playing game called Meet Your Maker.
The game, at first glance, is a first person shooter set in a post apocalyptic world. Going deeper into the game you find out it's also a platform survival game.
Going deeper still, you find out that you can buy, modify and defend your own base areas from other players with various traps and guards.
The basic goal of the game is to collect genetic material for a chimera fetus thing that is meant to hold the key to restoring humanity back to a utopian state.
You're armed with a grappling hook, a needle gun that holds only two needles, and 3 grenades with which to negotiate the bases of other players.
They range in intensity ratings, determined by the community of players. Some of the maps are fun, some are artistic whereas some are completely brutal and very very difficult to complete.
I find it quite fun.
There are a few more games like Darkest Dungeon and Tails Of Iron which provide a fun and entertaining challenge.
Mostly though it's a day where I haven't achieved a whole lot and there's a stack of laundry that needs doing, among other things.
But it's OK. Sundays are for relaxing and letting go.
Tomorrow has it's own concerns, for now I am just going to relax and plan the rest of my week with a clear mind.
Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed this post.
