Hello Hello what a day.
As I write this .... are Newcastle are about to end a 70 year drought?Well hopefully by the time I have finished this post they will have...
So I won't ruin the surprise, because who knows the Big Yin upstairs might do it for me!
If you read my post on Thursday then you might remember my footy team the mighty Glasgow Rangers lost the match but went through on penalties, haha you not so special after Jose Mourinho!
Well today was another squeaky bum time as Rangers travelled to the smelly side of Glasgow to play Celtic, not so much now that industry has died a death.
We raced into a 2-0 lead, get right in there...
They had admitted away fans, so for the first time in two years we had away fans in there.
Long story short... they came back to make it 2-2....
But oh no we have character now, and for the first time in 5 years we won at their ground as bam our Moroccan Igamane scored right in the last few minutes... but guess who got the assist?
Yes our heroic goalie Jack Butland who saved the penalties in the penalty shootout on Thursday!

oh bloody hell, Liverpool have pulled a goal back...
More of that later!
So I had to run to the shop to get some food. We I have not got around to doing the weekly groceries yet, so been buying food daily, which I don't mind as I can sniff out a bargain!
Result !
Reduced ... Blueberry Muffins down to £0.80 from £1.85
Another Result !!
Jam doughnuts reduced to £0.66 from £1.25
Note how we call them Doughnuts over here, as they are lumps of dough!
Another Result !!!
I had been looking online at various foods that pack their punch and of course lean meats were on that list...
So what happened?
Only the fluffing Universe eavesdropping again!
A pound of lean mince (ground beef) reduced to £1.88 from £4.00
But wait for it ....
Another Result x 4 !!!!
You know that mince above?
Well look at this ...
Four packets of that mince reduced all down to £1.88 each, which works out to £7.52 for 4 pounds or 2 kilos approx of lean meat!
That is the bargain of the day.
Today is meant to be my Saturday Savers post ... but there is no significant progress to report!
So all these whoopsies or discounted buys are my savers for the weekend!
Here we use a sell by date. So even if the food is good then cannot sell it past that date, so they discount or mark it down. They also give it away to charities and apps at the end of the day if they could not sell it!
We have an app called Olio and I need to use it and drop a post!
But maybe the win of the day is this ...

It has been 70 yes seventy years since the Toon lifted a trophy.
I have a soft spot for the Geordies, they often think of themselves as more Scottish than English being that they are just down the road from Edinburgh.
We were there in June.
Well done to all the lads and lassies in Newcastle!
This is the infamous Tyne Bridge over the ... yes you guessed it the River Tyne!
I feel so chuffed for them. They are the most fun loving diehard fans and the fact they beat Liverpool is oh so ever so sweet!
I did know which makes me happier, my Rangers beating Celtic or Newcastle winning a trophy after 70 years!
I actually bought an Old Jock beer at the shop as it is bold and strong when I was at the shop and that is what I had with dinner.... Ah well that will be this week's beersaturday post!
But on this generational result I shall say cheers and ...
Howay the lads!
I hope you are having as good as day as me!
Thanks so much for popping in and have a great new week!
