At the beginning of January 2025, I was with friends in the port city of Gdańsk in Poland, and on the Hel Peninsula.
I was on a short, several-day trip just for birdwatching, especially ducks, which winter there in large numbers.
I was particularly looking forward to seeing long-tailed ducks (Clangula hyemalis), which are extremely beautiful and simply not found inland in the Czech Republic.
I've uploaded a few photos taken directly from Hel Harbour, where the water was calm and there were lots of ducks. I hope you like them!
