Today another feathered friends blog about my encounter with some of the great and utterly handsome birds of prey.
MEET BOBO AGE : 8 YEARS
WIDTH WINGS : 160 cm
WEIGHT : 2200 gram
Today the Eagle Owl. Yes a very pretty one ! He is called Bobo.
The Bengal Eagle Owl is a very large owl species that occurs in India and a number of surrounding countries. Originally, this species was considered a subspecies of the European eagle-owl, but is now considered a separate species. That is that way for many years now. They grow up to 58 cm and weigh up to 2 kg, making them slightly smaller than the European Eagle Owl. The feather color is light brown with black and gray spots. The head has a faint dark edge, which is missing in the European eagle-owl. They mainly live in rocky terrain and in wooded terrain. They mainly eat rodents, birds and reptiles. Bobo lives in the netherlands and loved the fact he got treats aswell.
Yes its my hand but the photographer, read hubby was more mesmerised by Bobo than by Britt so believe me it was for my birtday and all
8 ( I did one blog already in this series ) were on my arm or on my head.

It was like Bobo was talking to me , maybe he shopuld be in the comment contest when it ever comes back
For his lunch he got three one day chickens, the eat it in a whole and digest the feathers very easy.
They have such gorgeous eyes, and they can rotate apparently.
My birthday present at the bird of prey farm is located in the nature project, the green-blue pendulum, located on the edge of Berkel en Rodenrijs. Many species of owls, buzzards, vultures, falcons, hawks and eagles have their residence at this unique location. In addition to the birds of prey, there are also many other animals such as horses, chickens and rabbits, which live in harmony with the birds of prey. Due to their great passion for birds of prey and owls, they have built up a unique collection of these fascinating birds.
They take care of the birds of prey with a lot of love, respect and care and try to imitate their natural habitat as closely as possible. There is no better bond and cooperation between man and bird of prey than in falconry.
They consider it a privilege to be able and allowed to work with these birds of prey and would like to share our experiences with interested parties and invite you to take a look at the wonderful world of our winged and as we on hive call them the feathered friends. Experience the thrill of their penetrating eyes, the mighty claws and the enormous wingspan of the birds of prey, or be surprised by the beautifully drawn plumage of the many owl species. Or the fact that they are so relaxed they shit on your arm.
The farm offers various types of bird of prey shows, falconry workshops and company outings. It is also possible to provide educational programs and lectures on location, so we are trying to get some sponsering to be able to go with the school of the boys
This is Julius again shitting on my glove and arm.
Here is the promotional movie from the bird farm :
