Our Feathered Friend

Came to Ayia Napa to spend the weekend with my son and his wife Les. Jack and I went for a walk on Pernera Beach and it started to drizzle so we went up to a lifeguard shelter and stood chatting for a while.

To our surprise, a parrot landed on the railing in front of us.

Jack, my son, Hive account@deimus put his arm out to grab a photograph and our feathered friend took it as an invitation to jump on his arm and then his shoulder where he was trying to take his sunglasses off his head.

He was very happy chilling on Jack's shoulder when we heard his owner coming along - obviously had been trying to find him - and came up and took him off Jack's shoulder. He was reluctant to go and gave a loud squawk in Jack's ear.

The owner then went off with the parrot reprimanding him in Greek.

It sure added some colour to our walk which was really pleasant.
