Hello everyone and welcome to my post for SMAP contest round 269
This week is another free theme ;)
These images are from the same day as my previous post Cleared for Landing at the the same low tide mud flat at the West end of Woodly Island on Humbildt Bay.
At low tide this mud flat is exposed with several tide pools that fish get trapped in and hide in the kelp.
Several kinds of birds take advantage of the shallow pools to score an easy meal.
These birgs are fairly common here on Humboldt bay and I see them every time I vist the island.
I was already focused on this one waiting for it to do somethig other than just standing there and captured the move.
Now all I have to do is choose the image to enter in the contest
Well that's it for today but I already have the next post of a Great Egret in the can and ready to write up. The actual hard part for me lol
