Hello everyone and welcome to my weekend mix of Feathered Friends
#featheredfriends created by stop by the community to view and share images of or Feathered Friends =)
Haven't been able to get out much this week, weather has been cloudy and windy for most of the week.
I noticed frost and freeze warnings for the area tonight. Nothing like some late freezing weather to nip that early Spring in the bud.
Starting off with a few Sparrow images, these are easy pickings as they are about 10 feet from me eating seeds.
Also they are used to me being there so they will come in close and don't seem to mind the shutter noise.
These little Juncos are right at the minimum focus distance, I actually had to move back about three feet or so because they were coming in too close O.o
This crow flew in with a big piece of stale bread and dunked it in the standing water in the rain gutter to soften it up.
Got a series of shots but trying to image a black bird that is back lit is almost an exercise in futility.
Got this one with it's beak full of bread and water.
The Geese have been flying over all day today. this group was having a leadership debate in midair
Took them a minute or two but they sorted it out and got back into a chevron formation.
These were taken last Tuesday during a sunny afternoon.
As I was tracking the geese I spotted a Robin watching them fly by.
This one is in the top of a tree in the neighbor's yard.
That's all for today. Hope you all enjoyed the images.
