Every week
hosts a fun contest in the Feathered Friends Community. This week's theme is SONGBIRDS.
Everybody loves songbirds. Their pretty voices fill the mornings and fill our ears with all kinds of good feelings and if it sounds like I'm being sarcastic, I'm not. I swear. Song birds are amazing. They have a special kind of vocal chord structure called a syrinx that allows them to make multiple tones at once, which is generally what makes their voices so impressive and pleasing to us simple larynx-possessors. Not all birds that possess a syrinx are songbirds, but all songbirds possess a syrinx.
Songbirds are part of the order Passeriformes, which includes the family...
Corvidae.
Would you look at this adorable family of songbirds??

You guys had me stumped with the pigeon challenge round, but we're rockin' this one.

And I can't remember if I've already shared it but here is a video of Biggie babbling with his beautiful songbird syrinx.
Thank you and good night.
