The Nictitating Membrane

Recently my buddy Junior helped me to make a cool little informative video about the nictitating eyelid in crows. Many other birds have this membrane, too, as do some reptiles and amphibians and I believe a couple of mammals (but not humans unless they are mutants).

Fun fact: I switched out the noisy city background sounds in the video for a sound clip of bird song that I recorded in Argyle, Scotland, a few years ago.
