At the Attenborough Nature Reserve, a few of the greylag geese were getting slightly aggressive with each other and a fight broke out.
Usually, they fight to defend their territory, nest, eggs, and young. The males also fight over females during the mating season.
There's numerous paths between the reservoirs, so you can sit and watch the birds in the bird hides or just sit on the benches that are scattered around. There are also feeding stations and woodland areas to observe the birds. The nature reserve is well worth a visit if you like nature or just a walk around the place.
Thankfully, yhe squabble ended with one of the geese flying off. Calm was restored.
