Bird watching - Night Heron drinking at tiny pond near the River

This year in early summer I could take several pictures of the night heron, since I know a spot where a lot of them sleep and stay during the hot day. But one very bad dissadvantage of this spot is that there are a lot of mosquitos and the light is not really the best there. I could only stay for several minutes before I had to leave because of all the mosquitos trying to eat me. But at least I was able to take some great shots and the next thing is that I could get so close to these shy birds. I saw some pictures of a friend that did some photography of a night heron from a hide, of course they were a little bit better and more clear and crisp. But I prefer not using a hide (or even paying for one) and just find the birds in their natural environment.
