The black winged Stilts have one of the most beautiful courtship dance in the bird world. If you see this dance that only lasts for seconds you probably would also fall in love with it. Everytime I see it I am amzade by its beauty and I hope I can take several pictures of it in the future also. On one of my trips to lake Neusiedler I was able to take some pictures of this beautiful procedure and I was happy that I had my camera ready when it happened.
The black winged stilts are one of the migratory birds that breed here in Austria and Lake Neusiedler is one of their favorite habitats because of its water that is a little bit salty and the saline water puddles that can be found around the lake and its vegetation. I haven't seen this birds on another spot yet even thought they also should rest at the Inn river during migratory season.
