Cattle egret for a short visit at the Inn River in Upper Austria

Usually this bird species lives in Africa, South America, South Asia, India and in Portugal / Spain in Europe and they usually don't get too far north. But Last year I had the luck to see two of them at the Inn River. I don't know why they got so for north and they where hiding between some other herons here at a heron colony at the River and I tried to find them several times, and one time I was lucky that they flew by. Some other birders first saw them an told us they where here so we went up to the spot where they where seen for several times before we could spot them one day when they directly flew by. I quickly took some pictures but it was a very short encounter. But at least I have one more species on my list of birds that I have seen (and even photographed) now.

That reminds me of my project of categorizing my pictures into bird species that I have already seen and to get a better overview of the species. I have already catherogrized a lot of the pictures but ther is still a lot of work ahead.
