In spring and early summer it is always very nice to watch several different bird species bring up their children. Most of the species have a nest that is hidden somewhere and therefore it is very difficult to see it but some other species like the gees nest pretty much open and when their children fledge they walk around and show them the world. On these pictures you can see a mother goose showing its little gosling what to eat in a meadow near the lake. I was lying there on the ground and could take some pictures of this scene. Scenes like these always make me happy and I rather enjoy watching it.
Unfortunately the water at lake Neusiedler where I took these pictures is getting fewer and fewer every year. And If it continues like this I don't know if I want to drive for several hours to get there when I have on the other hand only 1 hour drive to the wetlands of the Inn River where pictures like these might also be possible.
