Last year in Spring / Summer I was able to watch some Black Winged Stilts doing their mating dance and mating in front of my Camera. I think they really have one of the most beautiful mating procedures in the animal world. Their mating dance is just marvelous. It was really heart melting watching them in the hide and taking pictures of them. My Camera was on Continuous Shoot and it sounded like a machine gun when I took hundreds of pictures in a row, so I don't miss the perfect moment here.

You really need to find a place where you are a bit hidden from the birds so they are not bothered by your presence. So either you have a hide or you need to hide behind some reeds that grow on the shore of the lake. We layed down on the floor and hid behind a small "wall" of reed. Then you need to wait there for several minutes or even hours to get a lucky shot like these I had that day.
