Since the Covid-19 pandemic my photo hobby has revived. In Hive and Noise.Cash (https://noise.cash/u/FriendlyMoose) I've found platforms where I can share my love for photography an nature with like-minded people and other enthusiasts.
Since this also generates some passive income I've decided to invest in my camera gear to be able to shoot even better pictures.
Somewhere in the end of 2020 I bought a 200mm zoom lens for my Canon M50 (this wasn't totally funded by my passive income by the way). This is a great lens for nature photography. Especially birds. And last month I received a small tripod for my birthday and bought some extension tubes to use for longer range macro shots.
Last weekend I was on the camping to really test out this new setup.
I pointed the camera to my hanging feeding station behind our mobile home and dropped some bird food. I didn't had to wait long before the first guests arrived.
This curious Great tit arrived first to arrive.
It hopped in, grabbed a seed and flew away.
Then this Blue tit arrived at the popup restaurant. It looks like a young one to me. You cannot see it's distinctive blue cap yet.
The next feathered friend, a Marsh tit, was on my list to 'capture' for a while. They are a bit more shy than the other tits and always do a 'grab and go' at my feeding table. But I managed to get at least one clear shot.
The last visitor was this Nuthatch. They always remind me of a bandid with that black 'mask' over their eyes. It's funny to see how acrobatic they are.
I hope you liked this series.
