Hello everyone. Let's welcome Round 164 of the Show Me A Photo Contest or SMAP hosted by . Check out the contest post here and hopefully you can join us soon if you haven't yet.
The theme for this week is:
BIRDS AND TRASH BINS
In March of last year my daughter who was then working in Germany went home for a vacation. Of course one of the very first things we did was go to the BEACH!!! There's this popular beach resort located in the Island Garden City of Samal, an island just across our city, which is accessible only by barge. And off we went. Upon reaching there, we were elated that the resort was practically empty with only a handful of guests. It was a weekday and so there were hardly any people. We had the resort to ourselves.
Imagine, the receptionist told us that there were over 500 guests the previous weekend. There was practically no more room to move about. Talk about perfect timing. And guess who was feeling the effect of having just a handful of guests in the resort?
You see, the less people, the less food there is. Right? And the less food means less trash and scraps in garbage bins. So we were greeted by hungry crows hoping that we would have food.
I would have wanted a clearer shot of these crows but with only my cell phone camera it was quite a challenge to get them up close. But still, glad that I kept these photos as a souvenir of our trip to the beach. The picture below is my entry to this Round.
And just like that, this Round is almost over as so this post. Best of luck to all the participants. Stay safe and enjoy the weekend.
