Hello Feathered Friends Community. Let's welcome Round 265 of this very challenging and entertaining contest, the Show Me A Photo or SMAP Contest hosted by . Check out the contest post here. Come and join us in the fun.
The theme for this week is:
TWO BIRDS IN A PHOTO
Last month I had the opportunity, after over 25 years, to visit the Manila Zoo, the Philippines' premier and oldest zoological and botanical garden. Upon entering the first attraction to the right featured the zebra. It was a wide space given to the zebra, I guess so it could move around, and even run from one end to the other. But even before I saw the zebra, this little feathered friend completely stole my attention. It was drinking from a small pool of water which I presume is for the zebra when it gets thirsty.
I didn't know it then but later I learned from Wikipedia that this critter is known as the Nankeen Night Heron, also commonly known as the Rufous Night Heron.
It seemed like he was really posing for the audience when suddenly a photo bomber stole its thunder.
What's up dude?
Come on! You're stealing the show! Hurry up.
My entry for this Round is the photo below. It's actually a crop of the third photo.
And that's it for this Round. Hope you enjoyed the show. I did.
