Several old trees were cut down on the outskirts of the forest. People often walk there, so the administration decided to cut down trees that were dangerous in strong winds. The remaining stumps became very convenient to use for feeding the birds, which knowing this place constantly flew in to eat not much food.
So today I laid out the rest of the food at home on the stump and waited for one of the birds to appear.
Suddenly I heard very close the trills of a finch. He sat almost side by side, but slightly higher.
My camera was ready and I quickly focused and took the first photo. Surprisingly, the click of the camera did not frighten the finch. He still turned his head and uttered his trills.
I took a more comfortable angle, but the finch did not move much to another branch. This went on several times. But amazing. He did not fly away, although I was not far away.
This went on for some time. The day was good sunny and the chaffinch was well illuminated by the sun's rays.
I stood for a long time under the tree and listened to the chaffinch singing.
Finally he started, flapped his wings and flew over the tree and withdrew into the depths of the forest.
