Perhaps it is true, after all, that advertising slogan that says: from Madrid to Heaven.
And it is that Madrid, with or without coronavirus, is a happy and above all open city, which always receives with open arms all those who visit us, regardless of class and condition.
Perhaps for this reason, lately we are pleasantly surprised by the presence, in our parks and gardens, of a series of very special birds, whose natural habitat is the coast and the sea.
Such is the case, for example, of several pairs of elegant cormorants, who have adapted to live in our emblematic Retiro Park, and whom we try to appreciate and care for with affection, knowing that as humans, we are partly responsible for their forced exile.
But an exile, after all, which also makes our eyes happy, gratifies us with its beauty and induces us to persevere in the idea of a better and cleaner world, where all beings have their place and their opportunity to develop freely.
