Hey folks, here are some new photos I took today.
These photos all show the same female Anna's Hummingbird. (Calypte anna)
This gorgeous tiny bird came to visit the cherry tree in my backyard and hung around for at least a half-hour, giving me time to take a ton of shots.
Here you see the bird, perched on a branch. Notice the bright colour is mostly on the bird's back. The breast of the female is not brightly coloured.
I hope to capture a male bird next. The male has a distinctive purple spot on its throat. Thanks for visiting!
