Hi guys, It’s been a minute. And what a freaking minute it’s been. I hope everyone has been coping well through all of this. With yesterday’s crazy weather I had decided to take an early morning car ride to check out what else 2020 would have in store for us. With the forecast of damaging winds and high surf, I did what all closet storm chasers would do. ✌🏻On my drive I was super excited to see this magnificent creature perched high up on her nest. Keeping a lookout and then hopping back in the nest to protect her babies from the wind.

I particularly liked this photo for a few reasons. 1) Her expressive stare! I love that owls always look so annoyed! 2) I really was excited this shot actually came out despite the wind, rain, and shooting from my car so far away. Yes this image is very cropped!.

And 3) The symbolism of holding on and weathering the storm.

I truly hope you are all well and my heartfelt sympathies to those who have lost someone dear to them during this unprecedented time.
Like this little dude. The Quaker Parrot or Monk Parakeet. They’re native to South America. Interestingly they’re thriving in their own little colonies here on Long Island. The animal trade. Sailed to port in NY, destined for a cage, those little green escapees said not today. In their great escape they adjusted to a new way of life. They’re free. They’re Home. They found their Green. 💚Realign💚.
Did you know the color of your heart chakra, your center, is Green? Do you wonder why when you’re in nature surrounded by Green you feel peaceful? Your heart is sighing in relief, thank you for bringing me home :💚:
So my point. Don’t confine your heart to the cage your thoughts have built. It's easy to get trapped. Escape to nature. Adjust your thoughts. Realign and absorb all that Green energy. And no matter where you are, no matter the circumstance, your heart will be home, even if it’s just for a moment. :
💚Find your Green💚.
Beware of the snacky snack season! That time of year where you don’t have a bathing suit to keep you in check anymore. The nights are longer, the couch is comfy. Yes Netflix, I’m still watching, but first lemme check the fridge again. Dammit!
Make it a healthy snack! Make it a Happy.
This post contains 100% of your daily cuteness intake.
*The % daily value (DV) tells you how much cuteness in a 24 hour period contributes to a healthy dose of cuteness. Your daily value may be higher or lower depending on your cuteness needs. But warning: a higher dose may result in Cute Aggression and the need to squeeze the baby bunny.🐰
