Here are some more pics from my New Year's trip to the swamp in our local State Park. This time with a focus on Ibis. This will also be my entry to this week's #SMAP 254 contest with a free theme this week.
This one is a Juvenile Ibis with the varied brown and white colors. When mature in another few months, they will turn all white like some of the others pics you may see.
I've really been enjoying the diversity of wildlife here in Florida. Some of my favorites are all the birds down here, including many large birds. Photographing large birds is quite different than photographing the little yard sparrows, robins and bluejays. I found that many of my pics were cutting off parts of their heads or other parts, and had to keep zooming out to ensure I had everything in frame.
This will be just a handful of the many images I captured that day. I'm sure I'll crop some down even closer and maybe do some post sharpening to print a couple, but all these are just straight off the camera, just resizing down to fit on PeakD.
Well there you have it. I hope you enjoyed these as much as I enjoyed the day out taking them.
