Hello friends!

A few days ago I noticed some little sparrows nesting in one of the holes in the neighbor's wall, but they are too high up to see if the chicks have hatched yet.

I still managed to take some photos of the parents peeking out of the hole. I also saw others perched on some bricks that were left over from a construction site, although they were a bit far away I was able to photograph them in the center of a mesh that was also left over from the construction.

These sparrows are very common throughout the city, they even come down to eat the dogs' food, I have seen them in outdoor restaurants and terraces, perching on the tables of diners.

From what I could find out the male is a more showy brown color, so I think the one in the picture above is a male. They are considered by some people as a pest but they need humans to subsist, and a curious fact and according to Wikipedia, is that they can live up to 13 years in captivity, something that I found surprising.

Anyway, I think I will be watching them for a long time and maybe I will bring you more pictures of these little friends

Hace días noté que unos pequeños gorriones anidaron en uno de los huecos de la pared del vecino, pero están muy alto como para poder ver si ya nacieron los polluelos.

Aún así he logrado hacer algunas fotos de los papás asomándose desde el agujero. También vi otros posados sobre unos ladrillos que quedaron de una construcción, aunque estaban algo lejos pude fotografiarlos en el centro de una malla que también quedó de la construcción.

Estos gorriones son muy comunes en toda la ciudad, incluso bajan a comer la comida de los perros, los he visto en los restaurantes al aire libre y con terrazas, posarse en las mesas de los comensales.

Por lo que pude averiguar el macho es de un color marrón mas vistoso, así que creo que el de la imagen arriba es un macho. Son considerados por algunas personas como una plaga pero necesitan de los humanos para subsistir, y un dato curioso y según Wikipedia, es que pueden vivir hasta 13 años en cautiverio, algo que me pareció sorprendente.
