December is wet and muddy by far. Almost all the time it is raining. Saturday was out of question for photo walks. Sunday morning however, gave me two hours window without rain. Without loosing any precious time, I took the camera and off to the park. Let me show what my feathered friends were up to.
Usual sparrowrs gathering and flying from one shrub to the other.
This sparrow was puffed among the rose hips.
And another one.
Time to clean and put the feathers in order.
Not many doves in the park, the only one I decided to photograph turned its back and flew. All I got was its bottom. Well, considering all the advices given when photographing birds in flight not to do their backs, that's what I ended up. But it is funny.
I was glad to see again the Great spotted woodpecker. Here it is, a female woodie.
In fact there were lots of woodpeckers. Wherever I looked I saw one or two on a same tree. There were Syrian woodpeckers mixed with the Great spotted. They have so much in common.
I still miss the grey woodpecker in my collection but I keep on looking.
In the end common finch, not a good quality of photos, I am afraid.
I really don't like this grey sky, making the background so dull when the bird is too high.
Still, better than nothing and although I heard the wren, I could not make a single shot. Hopefully next time.
And that's all for now.
Thank you for viewing.
