This weekend I was looking for woodpeckers but I only saw one flying away. Nevertheless, other birds were still around. Reaching the dogs garden there were plenty of sparrows and pigeons feeding on the bread crumbs tossed by an old lady, who was sitting on the bench. When we approached, the sparrows did not go far, they perched on the fence wating for the intruders to move along.
First that caught my eye was this young bird.
The rest of the birds lined on top of the wired fence.
Among the sparrows and the pigeons, there were jackdaws and this is another young bird.
I tried to make photos when pigeons were flyimg, but they were unsuccessful. This one is a bit funny, because the pigeon appeared to have three legs.
Another one on the wire.
When I hear any noise coming from the tree I must find out who is there. This was a knocking sound and I saw two crows one of which has brought a piece of bread and was pecking while the other was trying to steal it. Although on these photos it looks rather peaceful.
And lastly while I was still looking up and expecting to see any bird, here it was - male red backed shrike, high above me.
And that was the end of my walk. The weekend is over and I am looking forward to the next to continue my photohunt.
Thank you for viewing.
