It's already the middle of autumn. At night, the first frosts are already beginning to appear. In the morning, when you look at the roofs of neighboring houses, you can already clearly see the frost on the roofs.
But the birds are still cheerful and carefree. This is facilitated by good weather. The day is sunny and there is no wind.
The cold doesn't work on them. Birds continue to fly from branch to branch and chirp pleasantly. Sometimes they gather in small flocks and sing in a choir.
These goldfinches are probably already preparing for wintering. They meticulously examine the surroundings. They are probably evaluating the possibility of obtaining good food for themselves in winter.
It is good that they decide in advance where it is better for them to spend the winter. In this place, many different tall grasses grow in the clearings. They retained a large number of seeds.
Nearby dense thickets of burdock. There is a lot of it. I think they will last the whole winter.
Near the forest. Although it is small, the birds love to sit there on the edges of the trees. They sometimes look for insects that hide in leaves and on tree branches.
I hope they stay here all winter and I can meet them when I come back to the forest. I will be pleased to photograph them against the backdrop of winter landscapes.
