A sharp sunny day here and I heard a young raptor's cry.
Oh yes, he came over low, but I had to take a quick snap with the sun in my eyes.
We were surrounded by tall old oak trees and as I heard that youngster's cries behind the trees I had to make my way in a hurry out of the trees.
I only got the two low shots of the youngster and his turn before he disappeared behind the trees again.

But much higher up was one of the parents and I thought that it had to be the mom. Maybe searching for a tissue here to blow her nose.
Opened the wings and cruised around above the youngster. No doubt keeping an eye on him in case he wanted to eat our car.
Smoothly she cruised on the thermals hoping that her son would get something to eat.
No wonder they all came out from under the table after the buzzards had left.
A difficult life to be a chicken here, especially if they have chicks, but I would love to see one of those roosters front up against a buzzard in a fight. Never to be as the buzzards will take them from the back when the chickens are out in the open.
I don't think that a chicken can defend itself against a raptor when they come in at speed with their talons wide open to grab.
Such is the life of a chicken here.
And That's All Friends!
