Flame-colored Tanager (Piranga bidentata) is one of the most striking birds in the highlands of Costa Rica. It can be found from 1200 meters above sea level in the entire Talamanca mountain range in the southeast of the country.
The males have this intense orange color that makes them very easy to observe among the trees, they feel comfortable with the human presence and tend to approach in search of food.

Piranga bidentata es una de las aves más llamativas del las zonas altas de Costa Rica. Se le puede encontrar a partir de los 1200 metros sobre el nivel del mar en toda la cordillera de Talamanca en el sureste del país.
