I would like to share three moments from the last few months of the year, when I was able to take photographs of birds.
In my community in the city of Maracay, these birds are very common, especially in the morning and late afternoon when I see them fluttering from one place to another.
These two canaries, which we call roof canaries (Sicalis flaveola) in my country, with their intense yellow color, approached the park gates. I was sitting watching my dog Isis having fun rolling around in the grass when I took this photo.
The sunlight created a contrast that I really liked. One of them looked dark because of the shadow, and the other was illuminated by the intense sun that shines on us every day of the year, against an immensely blue sky.
These birds usually travel in groups or pairs, and their song in the wild is beautiful and sweet. This is my favorite photograph.
The wild dove (Leptotila rufaxilla) is smaller than the domestic pigeon (Columba livia) and also lives in the trees where I live. I took this photograph in a tree with yellow flowers.
And finally, a family of rooster, hen, and chicks. I took these photos yesterday when I went for a walk with my sister in Caracas.
This place is a plant nursery next to the avenue. I have a special love for these birds, which remind me of my childhood. I love seeing them lying peacefully in the shade with their chicks.

Hola amigos de esta hermosa comunidad amante de las aves. Deseándoles a todos un feliz inicio de año donde podamos seguir compartiendo y aprendiendo sobre estos seres maravillosos.
Les comparto tres momentos de estos últimos meses del año, donde pude tomar fotografías de aves.
En mi comunidad en la ciudad de Maracay, estos pájaros son muy comunes y sobre todo en horas de la mañana y en la tardecita cuando los veo revoloteando de un lugar a otro.
Estos dos canarios , que llamamos canario de tejado ( Sicalis flaveola) en mi país, con su color amarillo intenso, se acercaron a las rejas del parque. Yo estaba sentada viendo a mi perra Isis divertirse revolcándose en la grama cuando les tomé esta fotografía.
La luz del sol hizo un contraste que me gustó mucho. Uno de ellos pareciera de color oscuro por la sombra y el otro estaba iluminado por ese sol intenso que en todos los días del año nos alumbra, sobre un cielo inmensamente azul.
Estas aves generalmente andan en grupos o en parejas y su canto en libertad es hermoso y dulce. Esta es mi fotografía favorita.
La palomita montaraz (Leptotila rufaxilla), es de tamaño más pequeño que las palomas doméstica (Columba livia), también viven en los árboles del lugar donde vivo. Esta fotografía la tome en un árbol de flor amarilla.
Y por ultimo una familia de gallo, gallina y pollitos. Estas fotografías las tomé cuando salí ayer a caminar con mi hermana, en la ciudad de Caracas.
Este lugar, es un vivero a un lado de la avenida. Siento un especial amor por estas aves que me recuerdan mi niñez. Y me encanta verlas tranquilas echadas a la sombra y junto a sus pollitos.
