These bright nimble birds arrive in early May. But unlike their urban counterparts - white wagtails, they live in open places such as meadows and fields.
And it is in May that the most favorable time to watch them. Indeed, at this time there is still no dense vegetation, grass, and these birds love to walk on the ground in search of insects.
They fly away earlier than white wagtails, by about mid-September they are gone.
