🦉 The common buzzard (Buteo buteo)
- Buteo lat .: buteo buzzard
Every year a pair of these predators settles in a hard-to-reach forest near a meadow and a hill. And every July I go to visit them, by that time their children are already growing up. And these children sit on branches and impatiently wait for their parents with prey. And their parents hunt nearby, in a meadow where there is an open, well-visible space where rodents and lizards live.
They appear and fly away somehow unnoticed, I can't say the exact dates. But in mid-August they will definitely not be found in this place.
