🦉 The long-tailed tit or long-tailed bushtit (Aegithalos caudatus)
📚 Aegithalos (Greek): tit
📚 caudatus (lat.): tailed
From a distance, these wonderful creatures look like a small white ball with a tail sticking out of it. And thanks to this, these birds got the name "ladle". And in the old days this bird was called "Appolo" for her extraordinary beauty.
Birds are very social and almost never meet alone, except when one bird sits on the nest, and the second is looking for food.
By the way, in the summer and in the middle of autumn, when a pair has already formed, these birds are not so easy to notice in the forest. They are very quiet and secretive. But with the advent of autumn, these wonderful birds are heard and seen in any forest. Their small family flocks fly from tree to tree, constantly calling to one another so as not to lose each other.
