My entry to Round 71 Of SMaP Show Me A Photo organized Here by .
New theme is
SHADOW OF THE BIRD
I checked my archives to see what photos I had of birds and their shadows. Here are a few.
The dove and junco peacefully eating seeds on the lawn. The junco looks a little apprehensive but the dove paid him no mind.
The brown headed cowbird.
This interesting bird paid a visit to my backyard in the spring. It is a year around resident on P.E.I.
The name cowbird relates to its diet, as it follows cattle to pick on ground the insects disturbed by the large animals. source.
No large animals here on the property unless he was at the Buffaloland and following the buffalo around. There are cows, horses and other animals on nearby farms.
This is the photo I will submit for contest. Cowbird looks like he is talking to his shadow.
The little rotund chickadee casts a slender shadow on the back deck.
The blue jay and his shadow. He’s come up on the deck to see if any peanuts or cashews left from the chipmunk’s visit.
A little bird up on the roof with some grass for the nest. Later the nest had to be removed from the eaves after the little ones were old enough to fly.
