Here are some sightings for this #featheredfriday
I took a trip to a grassfed farm and finally saw a meadowlark.
I have known they are around here but have rarely ever seen them staying still long enough for a shot.
I wish it had let me get closer before flying off. They are quite a large bird but also very shy. I would have liked to get a shot of its nice yellow throat with a closeup photo.
In the meantime the house sparrows are always ready for a closeup shot.
The farm had some flypaper put up and quite a few of these sparrows got caught up in it. It was a bit too gruesome to photograph the sparrows stuck together lol.
The sandhill cranes are back in the marshes. I didn't see any of their chicks this time maybe they were hidden in all the grass.
I keep seeing robin nests everywhere too. I'm hoping to get a shot of them being fed soon.
I never miss a chance to try and get a shot of a goldfinch. Sadly this guy's face was slightly behind the branch.
As usual the red-wings are great posers as they are trying to attack you.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
