Here are a few shots of me trying to get a photo of a ruby crowned kinglet.
The day started out great with lots of blooming tree colors and some birds posing nicely in the blooms.
The white clouds added nice contrast with the blue and the color of the flowers.
The red-winged blackbirds are nice posers and have no fear of humans at all. Then in the background I heard the kinglet call.
I thought I lined up a jackpot photo of a kinglet in the foreground and the cardinal in the background. Unfortunately the branch had other plans.
Kinglets are quite tame too but they are awfully bouncy and by the time I lined up the shot it was behind this other branch.
I thought, finally I have a clear shot of the kinglet but then is side stepped behind the branch.
Finally a clear shot but in my viewfinder I saw its little ruby crown. But by the time the camera registered the photo it had turned its head upward.
As per usual the normal butt shot of a bouncy bird just a few feet away from you up in the tree.
Human, you will never get a shot of my ruby crown and you'll be lucky to get a good composition out of the photo if you do cheeped the little kinglet.
I'll just have to be content with shot of tame robins and red-wings for good photos.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
