I was sitting on the back porch watching the Sparrows feeding the babies that were in the birdhouse by the pond.
When the male took off the baby fell out of the house and into the water. I jumped up and quickly scooped the baby bird out of the water. It was soaking wet and certainly confused by the experience.
I held it in my hands and dried it off the best I could with my shirt. After holding it for a few minutes, it settled in and started to fall asleep. How sweet is that?
Once I felt the bird was going to be okay, I had my husband get me a step ladder so I could put the bird back into the birdhouse. The parents were quite upset with me at this point, but once I got down from the ladder they went into the house to investigate.
Three days later all the baby birds had flew from the birdhouse. Apparently the little one survived the scarry fall into the pond. Thankfully I was there to see it happen otherwise it would have never made it out of the pond.
Thank you

for this fun #smap contest. Have a great week everyone!
