Hanging out with , you know that you're in store for a few weeks of sunshine and saltwater every year. She loves the beach so much, I know there is a good chance that in her prior life she had to be a seagull, the prettiest one on the beach of course.
The beach is her go-to place to vacation, I just tag along for the heck of it, and I'm glad I do.
If it were not for our many trips to the beach, I would have missed out on seeing these very colorful gulls. To me, seagulls have always looked pretty much the same, black and white with some shade of brown mixed in on occasion, no Big Deal.
Not that I'm a world traveler or anything even close, but gulls with orange beaks, heck, one gull even has a two-toned beak, now we're talking.
I guess this was the first time these two birds have seen seagulls with such strange beaks, also.
Now that's a lot of birds on the sand. I don't know about you, but I don't see any orange beaks on
a single gull in this group.
You have to look very closely. Mabey magnify the picture 100 times and you will be able to see what I see. You know, I was born with very good eyesight, something like 10/10.
Since you may not have the vision of an eagle, like myself, I'll show you a closeup of the same group of birds and I promise I won't say, I told you so.
This flock of gulls looks more like the ones I am used to seeing.
No orange beaks right, I told you so.
I know it's a head-scratcher. I wonder what other colored beaks seagulls may have?
Just before I pushed the publish button, a thought came to mind. I know that I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, are these birds on the sand possible not seagulls? S.O.S.
Enjoy the upcoming weekend all of you bird lovers out there.
