I would like to submit this photo of a mother Canada goose with her goslings for this round of the Show Me A Photo contest.
I came across these geese just over 1 month ago while hiking near a local lake. As I made my way closer to the water's edge, I startled this family of geese out from their hiding spot in the reeds. While I hadn't seen them beforehand, this gave me the perfect opportunity to get a few photos of the group up close before they paddled away to a safer distance out on the lake.
