SMaP #120 : Thirsty starling

My post is to contribute to Show Me A Photo Contest round 120. I am very happy to be able to participate in this contest, because admin Hive account@nelinoeva provides a free theme for this 120th edition. I will share some photos that I took at the Central Park Medan zoo. Today the weather is very hot, even tend to be extreme. Several birds in the zoo were seen taking shelter under the trees. I saw a starling that flew low and finally landed on a drinking trough. It looks like this starling bird is thirsty, I saw this walking bird immediately bent his body and drank water that was in a place. Due to the extremely hot weather, the water in this basin is running out. But the starlings seem to be content to enjoy their drink.

Several times the starling bent his body to drink, I think he really enjoyed his drink. The starling must have been very thirsty, so he didn't mind my presence.

After drinking, the starlings didn't immediately fly away. I saw him walk towards a tray filled with various vegetables and fruit. It turned out that the starlings were also hungry.

The starling walked towards the tray, one foot began to enter the tray of food and the other leg is lifted up. I don't know why the starling raises one leg when it enters the tray of food. This starling didn't eat right away, he only saw the mustard greens and carrots that were visible inside. For a long time the starlings didn't touch the food, they just looked at the vegetables on the tray, maybe they didn't find the food they were looking for.

Because there was no food to eat, the starlings left the tray containing the mustard greens and carrots.
