Greetings friends of hive, for this occasion I have the opportunity to publish in this community, and that to show these photographs of this species of seabird "Pelecanus thagus", belonging to the pelican family, which is found mostly in South America, on coastal areas of countries like Peru or Chile, although I am in Venezuela, you can visualize some of these species in the Venezuelan coastal areas, perhaps because they have been migrating more to the north of the continent.
On a visit I made to a very beautiful beach in Venezuela, called Isla Larga, I took advantage of the fact that I photographed this type of birds, which are very present on these beaches, and which have a close contact, due to the fact that they are constantly hunting along the shores of the beach, because there are a lot of fish.
Saludos amigos de hive, para esta ocasión tengo la oportunidad de publicar en esta comunidad, y que mostrar estas fotografías de esta especie de ave marina "Pelecanus thagus", perteneciente a la famila de los pelicanos, que se encuentra mayormente en América del Sur, sobre en zonas costeras de países como en Perú o Chile, aunque yo me encuentro en Venezuela, se puede lograr visualizar algunas de estas especies en las zonas costeras venezolanas, quizás porque han estado migrando más hacia el norte del continente.
En una visita que hice a una playa muy hermosa de Venezuela, que se llama Isla Larga, aproveché el hecho de fotografiar este tipo de aves, que hacen mucha presencia por estas playas, la cual.se tiene un contacto cercano, por el hecho que estan constantemente cazando por las orillas de la playa, debido a que hay muchos peces.
I don't really know if it is the same pelican for all the photographs, as there were several in the area, and I can't really distinguish them from each other, but I took several photographs of them while they were hunting fish.
On the other hand, this type of bird is not dangerous for us, although they can give us a scare, when they can land almost next to us, at the moment that the bird gives in to hunt, otherwise they are a very calm species, even to take photographs of them, unlike other animals that are very restless.
En realidad no se si trata del mismo pelicano para todas las fotografías, ya que habían varios por la zona, y la verdad no logro distinguirlos entre ellos, pero de igual forma si era mismo o no, le saque varias fotografías en plena faena, cuando se encontraban cazando peces.
Por otro lado, este tipo de ave no lo peligroso para nosotros, aunque si pueden echar un susto, cuando pueden aterrizar casi que al lado de uno, al momento que la ave cede a cazar, de resto son especies muy tranquilos, incluso para sacarles fotografías, a lo contrario de otros animales que son muy inquietos.
Regarding the characteristics of this bird, perhaps for some it may be a bit hideous, but for me it is beautiful and attractive, with a more or less large size, and with a very beautiful plumage, and contrasted between various colours, make this bird perfect.
Normally, I noticed that their hunting hours are between 12 pm and 4 pm, then they almost completely disappear, and even other smaller birds start to come out, which perhaps do not make their presence known to the pelicans, simply because they are in a territorial area of the pelicans.
Con respecto a las características de esta ave, quizás para algunos puede ser un poco horrendo, pero para mi si es hermoso y atractivo, con un tamaño más o menos grande, y con un plumaje muy hermoso, y contrastados entre varios colores, hacen que esta ave sea perfecta.
Normalmente, me di de cuenta que su horario de caza, esta entre las 12 pm a 4 pm, luego casi completamente desaparecen, e incluso comienzan a salir otros tipos de aves más pequeños, que quizás no hacen presencia ante los pelicanos, por el simple hecho de estar en una zona territorial de los pelicanos.
