Today I installed the new anklets and the new jesses on my female Harris's hawk.
It was a good patience game. It took some time and a few tries.
I waited until she lifted one of her legs, then I put the jesses of the anklet around her leg, then I pulled the jess to secure the anklet on her leg. First I did this with her left leg, then with her right leg.

The anklets were already attached with the jesses to the swivel. I used the carabiner on the leash to attach it to the swivel.
The anklets properly fit her legs. My friend did a nice a nice job with the leathers.

So now my female Harris's hawk has a proper equipment.
Soon I will have a proper glove too. This one is currently very worn, and it is an improvised glove, made from a coat sleeve.
Also today I gave a rat for the first time for my Harris's hawk. She ate it. The tray is currently outside of the aviary, because I took it out to clean. Soon I will put it back.

Nowadays mostly she is outside of her aviary, sitting on my arm. She is getting used to the environment and to the people.
Everything is good.
Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.
