Almost two years ago, I took a Photoshop course. Among the topics we covered, we learned how to edit photos—fixing blemishes, restoring old pictures, changing faces and bodies, swapping backgrounds, and more. Who would have thought that just one year later, everything I learned, which required so much time and effort, would go down the drain with the arrival of AI?

Hace casi dos años hice un curso de Photoshop que entre los tópicos que se trataron, se nos enseñó a editar fotografías, realizando mejoras de imperfecciones, corrección de fotografías antiguas, cambio de rostro y cuerpo, reemplazar fondos, etc. Quien iba a pensar que solo 1 año después de ese momento todo lo que aprendí que requiere tiempo y esfuerzo, se fue al caño con la llegada de la IA.
Don't get me wrong, I love it when things get better, evolve, or become automated. It's impressive how we've gone from creating images with AI that always looked hyper-realistic to editing any image and changing anything we can think of. Before, you had to pay for this, but now it's available to everyone. The newest tool that really impresses me with the quality of its results is Gemini's new feature called "Nano Banana."
No me lo tomen a mal, me gusta cuando las cosas mejoran, evolucionan o se automatizan. Es impresionante como pasamos de la creación de imágenes con IA que se veían siempre hiperrealistas, a la edición de cualquier imagen cambiando cualquier cosa que se nos ocurra. Antes esto era pago, ahora está al alcance de todos, la más reciente y que me impresiona mucho la calidad de sus resultados es la nueva herramienta llamada "Nano Banana" de Gémini.

This post isn't going to be a tutorial on how to use it—there's already a ton of great content going viral because the results are amazing. I've been using it for a while now, and many of the photos in my posts have been retouched without anyone even noticing. So today, I'm going to share a bit about my experience using it, what I've learned to do, and a few tips on how things really work—stuff the social media hype doesn't tell you—so your results aren't disappointing.

Yo tengo un tiempo usándola y muchas de mis fotos usadas en mis publicaciones las he retocado sin que nadie se de cuenta. Por eso hoy les cuento un poco de mi experiencia de uso, les comparto lo que he aprendido hacer y uno que otro tip que de como las cosas funcionan que las redes no te dicen y tus resultados no son como lo que dicen.

Some people access it through aistudio.google.com, but I do it through Gemini because it's integrated. In my app, a little banana logo appears next to the word "image," as you can see in the screenshot from my phone that I've included below. All you have to do is upload a picture of yourself and ask it to make the changes you want. The more specific you are, the better the results will be.
Algunos ingresan a traves de aistudio.google.com yo lo hago a través de Gemini porque esta integrada, en mi aplicacion aparece el pequeño logo de una banana junto a la palabra imagen, como se ve en el fondo de la captura de pantalla de mi teléfono que les dejo aca abajo. Lo que resta es subir una foto de ustedes y pedirle que haga los cambios que desean, y entre más específicos sean, mejores resultados tendrán.

Based on an image, it's possible to change your clothes, fix imperfections. As you can see, I got rid of my moles and asked it to improve the overall look and quality.

All you have to do is imagine it and ask for it. The only limit is our imagination, and, of course, how specific we are with our instructions. It's worth noting that I've had better results with the Gemini app on my phone than with the web version.
Solo lo que queda es imaginarlo y pedirlo, el límite es nuestra imaginación, claro que también lo específicos que seamos con la instrucción. Cabe acotar que he tenido mejores resultados con la versión de Gemini para teléfonos que la web.
