Saludos geeks, tiempo si elaborar una publicación relacionado algún dispositivo electrónico, pero recientemente me he visto en la necesidad de adquirir algunos así que estaré compartiendo esas reseñas con ustedes. La de hoy es una poco habitual, el contenido que estamos acostumbrados a ver está relacionado al mundo gaming, teléfonos celulares y sus accesorios o la computación, pero también es válido compartir contenido de como la tecnología facilita nuestra vida, porque cada vez mas esta se ajusta para hacernos todo mas sencillo y solucionar problemas cotidianos.
Greetings geeks, it's been a while since I've published a post related to any electronic device, but recently I've had the need to acquire some so I'll be sharing those reviews with you. Today's is an unusual one, the content we are used to seeing is related to the world of gaming, cell phones and their accessories or computing, but it is also valid to share content on how technology makes our lives easier, because more and more this is adjusted to make everything easier and solve everyday problems.
En mi caso tengo un problema recurrente que tengo que considerar cada vez que voy a comprar algún electrodoméstico o equipo electrónico, carezco de espacio físico donde vivo, he comenzado a colocar de forma elevado todo lo que compro, es decir, en estantes o repisas ya que solo colocarlas en el piso como todo el mundo hace ya no me es posible. Otro de los problemas recurrentes es la inestabilidad eléctrica, aunque no es tan frecuentes como en otros sitios del país, la energía se va y la mayoría de las veces no retorna con todas las fases.
Al vivir en el trópico las temperaturas son oscilantes, podemos tener un buen día de 30 grados Celsius, u otro días ya un poco mas caluroso de mas de 35 grados Celsius, y si en ese día falla la energía puedes pasar un muy mal momento con calor y los mosquitos. En mi caso cuando se va la energía y retorna una sola fase de voltaje mi aire acondicionado no enciende, porque opera con 220v, quedando inoperativo hasta que los responsables de las reparaciones del servicio eléctrico vengan a solucionar, espera que puede tomar más de 24 horas.
In my case I have a recurring problem that I have to consider every time I go to buy any appliance or electronic equipment, I lack physical space where I live, I have begun to place everything I buy in an elevated way, that is, on shelves or shelves because just placing them on the floor like everyone else does is no longer possible. Living in the tropics the temperatures are oscillating, we can have a good day of 30 degrees Celsius, or another day a little hotter than 35 degrees Celsius, and if on that day the power fails you can have a very bad time with heat and mosquitoes. In my case when the power goes out and returns a single phase voltage my air conditioner does not turn on, because it operates with 220v, being inoperative until those responsible for the repairs of the electrical service come to solve, wait that can take more than 24 hours.
Para nosotros los adultos, aunque es duro, podemos soportarlo, pero para los niños es más difícil, así que pensé que una solución era comprar un ventilador que opera con 110v, conectarlo a la fase que si tiene voltaje mientras retorna o es reparada la otra para poder tener 220 v y encender el aire acondicionado. Parece algo sencillo de solucionar, compra un ventilador o abanico como le dicen en otros lugares, pero aquí es donde se presenta el problema, ubicar un ventilador ya es complicado porque el espacio lo tenemos super reducido.
Podría colocar uno aéreo, como quisiera hacerlo créanme, pero el otro gran problema es que no tengo taladro actualmente para perforar las paredes, además de que no puede ser cualquier taladro porque las paredes son de concreto pre – fabricado, es decir, son de puro cemento sin bloques por eso son sumamente duras y si no se usa un taladro percutor difícilmente puedes abrir un orificio. No quisiera parecer dramático y menos querer complicar una situación que parece solucionarse de forma sencilla, pero hasta ahora no había encontrado solución.

Un día precisamente se fue el servicio eléctrico y cuando retorno a la hora llego solamente 110v, cuando salí a la calle me percate que uno de los fusibles del banco de transformadores se había quemado, sabia lo que representaba, nuevamente mas de 24 horas sin poder encender el aire acondicionado y padecer calor, por eso le dije a mi esposa: vamos por un ventilador del tipo que sea, a lo que mi esposa respondió: ¿porque no compramos uno tipo torre? dije: ¡bingo!
Esa era la solución uno de este tipo no ocuparía tanto espacio, pero jamás había tenido uno de estos y de paso el mercado esta lleno de ventiladores de marcas extrañas que no sabes que tanto te van a durar, variando los precios desde 25 dólares hasta 50 dólares USD. En el pasado solo había tenido ventiladores de la marca FM y quien los conoce sabe que estoy hablando de calidad, podían ser casi que eternos, pero lamentablemente esa fábrica en el país cerro y ya no se consiguen, todo lo que tenemos es de importación y chino de mala calidad.

Decidimos entonces visitar las tiendas de tecnología mas grandes, seguros de que aquí encontraríamos en teoría equipos de marcas más duraderos, si íbamos a comprar algo deseábamos que dure mucho tiempo así represente hacer un gasto un poco mas elevado, por lo tanto, probamos varios, hasta que encontramos una marca que nunca había visto pero que rápidamente busque con mi teléfono en internet, resultando ser una marca americana, con varios productos en el mercado por más de 40 años.

I know that not everything American is quality, but I was willing to take a chance because with Chinese fans I knew it would be a lottery, so we went with this fan which has the following specs:

- Carrying handle.
- Power: 60 Watts.
Hablemos de las dimensiones, la primera solución a mi problema de espacio, la base tiene un diámetro de 12” o 30 cm lo que es mucho menor a otros ventiladores promedio que pueden ser de 20” solo la base. Su altura es de 42” pero esto es desde el piso considerando la atura de la base, pero el solo ventilador mide 40” o 102 cm.

Tiene algunas otras cosas que le dan un valor agregado que me ayudaron a convencerme de su compra, una de ellas es el control remoto, aunque ya es algo que esta presente en muchos artefactos eléctricos, es minimalista y usa una batería sencilla CR2025, lo que resulta un ahorro al momento de reemplazarla, que de seguro será en un largo tiempo.

Otro aspecto que me gustó muchísimo es que el cable de alimentación eléctrica en su enchufe tiene incorporado un fusible de 2.5 amp, seguro que por su tamaña debe ser de tipo europeo. Esto si es nuevo para mí, nunca lo había visto antes porque los fusibles suelen estar en la fuente de poder que se encuentra en el circuito que está en el interior del artefacto, sin embargo, este posee 2, lo que representa doble protección de fácil reemplazo que puedes hacer tu mismo sin la necesidad de llevarlo a servicio técnico.
Another aspect that I really liked is that the power cord has a built-in 2.5 amp fuse in its plug, I'm sure that because of its size it must be a European type. This is new to me, I had never seen it before because the fuses are usually in the power supply that is located in the circuit inside the appliance, however, this has 2, which represents double protection of easy replacement that you can do yourself without the need to take it to service.
En líneas generales no hay mucho de que decir técnicamente de un ventilador, sopla lo suficientemente fuerte para mantener toda una habitación de 4x3 mt fresca, la posibilidad de programarlo para ahorro energético está bien pensado para países donde el costo del servicio es elevado, operar a distancia es comodidad, pero lo innovador para mi es que su diseño soluciona problemas que tengo: espacio y fallas eléctrica, y si a ver vamos, para esto es la tecnología para solucionar nuestros problemas, eso es lo que mas me satisface de esta compra, porque no es un simple capricho, es la solución de un desafío.
