I'm stoked about PlayStation's 30th anniversary! December 3rd marked the birthday of the console that’s brought so much joy to gamers over the years, and I’ve been there for every step of the journey. I've owned every single PlayStation, so it’s really cool to see all the cool stuff Sony's put together to celebrate. The biggest highlight for me is definitely the announcement of My First Gran Turismo, a free-to-play game launching on PS5 and PS4 today, December 6th.

Estoy muy emocionado por el 30 aniversario que PlayStation esta celebrando, el 3 de diciembre fue el cumpleaños de la consola que trajo y sigue trayendo muchas alegrias a sus fans, y puedo decir con orgullo que he sido testigo de cada una de sus etapas. Literalmente he tenido cada una de las PlayStation, por eso resulta emotivo ver el contenido que Sony a dispuesto para celebrar este aniversario, siendo el mas especial el anuncio de My First Gran Turismo, un juego gratuito que se lanza en PS5 y PS4 hoy 6 de diciembre.

If you're not familiar, Gran Turismo is one of PlayStation's most iconic exclusive games. It's a racing sim featuring real-world cars from the biggest brands, authentic racetracks, and some of the most intense motorsports competitions out there. The gameplay is pretty simple: you drive to win. As you get better, you can shave seconds off your lap times, earn new licenses to compete at higher levels, and unlock faster cars.

Para quienes no saber de qué se trata, es uno de los juegos exclusivos de PlayStation más icónicos, se trata de un simulador de carreras, con autos reales de las marcas más importantes a nivel mundial, con los circuitos de carreras y las competencias más duras del deporte de los motores. La mecánica del juego consiste en meramente conducir para ganar, a medida que te haces más hábil, serás capaz de reducir tus tiempos, alcanzar nuevas licencias para competir al más alto nivel, y obtener recursos para hacerte con los carros mas rapidos.

I've got a ton of memories with the first four Gran Turismo games. I played GT1 and 2 on PS1 back in '98 and 2000, and then GT3 and 4 on PS2 from 2001 to 2005. After that, I kind of lost interest in the series. But those early games were incredible! I spent countless hours grinding for licenses, tackling the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans (which took me about six hours straight, if I remember correctly), and so much more.

Mi historia con el juego se centra en las 4 primeras entregas. En PS1 jugue el 1 y 2 durante los años 1998 y 2000, luego en PS2 fueron lanzados el 3 y 4 desde el 2001 al 2005, pero luego no pude volver a jugar y la verdad no tuve mas interés en hacerlo con las entregas posteriores. Pero con los primeros juegos la pase increible, fueron largas jornadas para obtener las licencias, jugar las 24 Horas de Le Mans en su versión simplificada para videojuegos, unas 6 horas continuas si mal no recuerdo, y muchas cosas más.

So, this announcement is a big deal for me. I've got history with this game, and I'm really excited to try out this free version. I never bought GT7, but I've always wondered what it would be like to play a new Gran Turismo game. Is it still as fun as it was back in the day? This is my chance to find out. And that's what this release is all about: bringing back old fans and introducing new ones to the series.

Por eso este anuncio para mi a resultado significativo, tengo una historia con este juego y me interesa poder probar esta versión gratuita porque nunca quise comprar la última entrega que fue el 7, sin embargo, siempre me preguntaba que se sentiría volver a jugarlo ¿sera igual de emocionante como en aquellos años? Por eso esta me parece una gran oportunidad, ademas eso es lo que busca este lanzamiento, despertar la nostalgia y hacerse con nuevos jugadores.

I'll be sure to share a video of my experience as soon as I can. It feels great to finally have a reason to play video games again. And with PlayStation Plus offering a free game catalog this weekend (December 6th-8th) to celebrate the anniversary, it's shaping up to be an awesome weekend for gaming.

Pronto espero poder estar compartiendoles un video de la experiencia completa, siento que podré finalmente disfrutar de un videojuego, algo que no hago desde hace mucho tiempo. Aparentemente también debido al aniversario el catálogo de juego de PlayStation Plus estará gratuito por el fin de semana del 6 - 8 de diciembre, de ser así nos espera un buen fin de semana.
