Don't buy a bootleg Dualshock 3.

When I started writing on Hive more than a year ago, one of the first purchases I made in relation to this platform was a Dualshock 3, in its monument, I was dedicated to making brief reviews of my favorite Playstation One and Playstation 3 games and, Since my original controllers were starting to fail, I thought this was a perfect opportunity to get a new gamepad.

I got a pretty cheap controller so two things were clear to me: 1. obviously it wouldn't be an official gamepad. 2. His performance would be lower as a result of this.

However, even having these ideas quite clear in my head, I never would have imagined that the quality would be so terrible.

While I would never describe the Dualshock 3 as one of the best controllers in gaming (I've always considered the Gamecube controller or the Xbox itself superior), it's undeniably a vision refined over time. , collecting in it all the best features of its counterparts for Playstation 1 and 2. It is a control that includes vibration, buttons with different levels of depth that vary with respect to touch, triggers and useless but precise movement sensors.

All these virtues are not transferred to the bootleg version, which only shares the physical aspect with the official one, leaving behind any trace of precision or comfort cultivated by Sony.

There are probably "Triple AAA" replicas that efficiently capture the essence of the original (At a similar cost) but this copy (Approximately $15) lacks any kind of sensitivity in the analogs, the directional and action buttons are hard and They barely respond to our touch, there is no form of motion sensor and the triggers work like ordinary buttons. In fact, it has cracks on the sides so uncomfortable that to use them more or less regularly I had to put a protective silicone lining on them to alleviate this annoying texture.

Honestly, its operation is relegated to extremely simple games, where we can perceive any of these features to have a decent experience.

Forget about racing games, shooters, platform titles or any experience that requires precision.

Is everything negative? Not really, it is appreciated that the package it comes in tries to mimic the official material, and for those looking for basic control for multimedia functions (Netflix, Youtube, Amazon, or just wandering through the interface) it can operate decently, its battery is mediocre, but the use will be so little in these circumstances that we will hardly notice it.

My advice? Although it is a bit irrational to ask them to look for official gamepads (these are quite rare lately), when buying bootlegs it is preferable to have the opportunity to try them out, or directly look for a PS4 controller that is compatible with the Playstation 3, your guys will save a bad time.

Es un mando que incluye vibracion, botones con diversos niveles de profundidad que varían con respecto al tacto, gatillos y sensores de movimiento inútiles pero precisos.

Todas estas virtudes no se trasladan a la versión bootleg, que solo comparte el aspecto físico con el oficial, dejando atrás cualquier rastro de precisión o comodidad cultivado por parte de Sony.

Probablemente existen réplicas "Triple AAA" que capturan con eficia la esencia del oroginal (A un costo sinilar) pero está copia (De aproximadamente unos 15 Dólares) carece de cualquier tipo de sensabilidad en los analogos, los botones direccionales y de acción son duros y apenas responden a nuestro contacto, no existe ninguna forma de sensor de movimiento y los gatillos operan como botones ordinarios. de hecho, cuenta con unas grietas a los costados tan incomodas, que para usarlos de forma más o menos regular tuve que ponerles un forro protector de silicón que aliviera está textura tan fastidiosa.

Honestamente, su funcionamiento se encuentra relegado a juegos extremadamente simples, en donde podamos percibir de cualquiera de estas características para tener una experiencia decente.

Olvídate de los juegos de carreras, los shooters, los títulos de plataformas o cualquier experiencia que requiera precision.

¿Todo es negativo? Realmente no, se aprecia que el paquete en dónde viene trata de mimicar el material oficial, y para aquellos que busquen un control básico para funciones multimedias (Netflix, Youtube, Amazon, o simplemente pasear por la interface) puede operar decentemente, su batería es mediocre, pero el uso será tan escaso en estas circunstancias que apenas lo notaremos.

¿Mi consejo? Aunque es un poco irracional pedirles que busquen gamepads oficiales (Últimamente son bastante excasos), a la hora de comprar bootlegs es preferible tener la oportunidad de probarlos apropiadamente, o directamente busquen un mando de PS4 que sea compatible con el Playstation 3, se ahorrarán un mal rato.
