Hace unos meses que estoy motivada por la jardinería, en especial con las plantas tipo arbustos y con flores, que apenas estoy aprendiendo a conocerlas, y he tenido algunos problemas con ellas, problemas que muchas veces comprometen la integridad de algunas plantitas.

Así que una tarde se me ocurrió buscar ayuda en la IA que más utilizo para aprender cosas que es Gemini en su versión gratuita, y ella ha sido mi gran apoyo. Hoy les voy a contar cómo la utilizo y cómo ella organiza todo lo necesario para hacer prosperar mi jardín, y pasó de ser mi fuente de consulta, a mi asistente y ahora es mi gran maestra jardinera... Bienvenidos.

For the past few months, I've been motivated by gardening, especially with shrubs and flowering plants, which I'm just learning about. I've had some problems with them, problems that often compromise the health of some of the plants.

So one afternoon, I decided to seek help from the AI ​​I use most often to learn things: Gemini (in its free version). It has been a great support. Today, I'm going to tell you how I use it and how it organizes everything necessary to make my garden thrive. It went from being my source of information to my assistant, and now it's my great gardening teacher... Welcome!

Descargué la App de Gemini en mi celular, desde la Play Store en mi caso. Es donde me gusta usarla, aunque todo puede hacerse y usarse también desde la Pc.

Suelo ser muy ordenada y me encanta usar las "Conversaciones" (flecha roja del lado izquierdo) de forma organizada y clasificada. Cada vez que abres Gemini se abre una conversación nueva, y no me gusta que sea de esa forma porque si más adelante quiero recordar o revisar alguna consulta que le hice, se me pierde entre tantas conversaciones que se abren cada vez que abre Gemini.

Me gusta "cambiar el nombre a la conversación" y ponerle un título para el tema que siempre voy a consultar en "esa" conversación, así tengo todos mis temas o consultas ordenados. En este caso nombré a esta conversación "Plantas" y cada vez que le consulto algo sobre este tema, busco esta conversación, incluso puedes "Fijarla" para tenerlas más organizadas así.

I tend to be very organized and I love using "Conversations" (the red arrow on the left) in an organized and categorized way. Every time you open Gemini, a new conversation opens, and I don't like it that way because if I want to remember or review a question I asked later, it gets lost among all the conversations that open every time Gemini opens.

I like to rename the conversation and give it a title for the topic I'll always ask in "that" conversation. That way, I keep all my topics or questions organized. In this case, I named this conversation "Plants," and every time I ask something about this topic, I look for this conversation. You can even "Pin" it to keep them even more organized.

Continuando con la imagen anterior, del lado derecho subo una foto de mi plantita, que tomé con el mismo teléfono y la ubico en "Galería". Y escribo mi consulta, que en este caso fue: "Esta planta es tipo arbusto, y está bastante desmejorada. Puedes identificarla y ayudarme con cómo debo cuidarla y recuperarla?" y le doy a "Enviar"

Inmediatamente Gemini me da la ID de la planta, analiza su integridad y me da un "Diagnóstico"

Y efectivamente me crea un Cronograma para 1 año con las Tareas de de cada Fertilizante en el periodo o con la periodicidad que le corresponde, en este caso para mi Coleo, fueron 3 Fertilizantes con diferentes lapsos de aplicación... Esto es maravilloso, tengo todo un año de planificación exacta para los cuidados de mi Coleo, y un aviso un día antes de cada uno para tener preparado el insumo para el día siguiente.

Y lo mejor continúa con el siguiente Prompt: Ok, entonces prepara o programa todos esos avisos con Google Task para tener Alarmas con esos dos días de avisos, para todos los meses que quedan de este 2026

And it actually creates a one-year schedule for me with the tasks for each fertilizer application, according to its corresponding schedule. In this case, for my coleus, there were three fertilizers with different application intervals. This is wonderful! I have a whole year of precise planning for my coleus's care, and a reminder the day before each application so I have the necessary supplies ready for the following day.

And the best part continues with the next prompt: Okay, so prepare or schedule all those reminders with Google Tasks to have alarms for those two days' notices, for all the remaining months of 2026.

I receive all the alerts and reminders for scheduled tasks, as it schedules them all in my Google Calendar, and there are quite a few since I did this for each of my plants. You can see their names in the tasks. Below is my Google Calendar specifically for plants and for the month of March 2026:

Don't think this is overwhelming; it's actually great to be able to schedule all the tasks related to each of my plants in my calendar. I don't really check Google Tasks or Google Calendar because I only receive notifications on my phone. It's the most convenient, organized, planned, clean, and efficient way to do things. I won't miss anything because I'll always have "Alarms or Notification Alerts" telling me exactly what I need to do.

It's very easy to get hooked on this type of organization. These tools are available, and we should use them to make our tasks more effective, learn more, and also make adjustments. This can be done simply by talking to Gemini and then asking it to make adjustments and modify the tasks and calendar, and therefore the notifications.
