Hey , thank you for these reports; they are amazing.
We would like to add some context about the Aliento Project.
Even though the account was created in March of 2018 and the project started that year, it oonly was only active for a few months. It wasn't until around August of 2020 that the project really took off or started. So Aliento really started in Hive and not in Steem.
And as you mentioned, we didn't start the movement, but we reinforced it. The #spanish tag, I believe, was created or set as a standard for the Hispanic community by in 2017.
Aliento started as a project to help users who had questions about Hive, and from there it has evolved. At the same time, we were curating content with the goal of retaining users, and our curation trail was followed by and other whales who have supported the project. Before the curation curve or window changed back in 2021 or 2022, we were able to achieve an APR of 18% or even 21%.
We also have a Discord community with almost 2,000 members, not all of them are active, but it has been a hub where new users can ask questions, get support, and meet other Hivers. In the past, it was also a place where community leaders could nominate posts similar to how OCD does their curation, but in 2024, we changed that model, and the curation is made directly by the Aliento Curation team. In this post, you can check the communities that we have supported over the years. Not all of them are active anymore.
Four years ago, we started our witness nodes, and we also started creating some apps and tools for Hive. Besides curators and content creators, in the team, we have marketing and technical members.
In the past, we have also sponsored events and gatherings. And we have helped Hivers who have gone through tough times, check .
This is a small summary of what we have done, but what we want to point out is that Aliento is not only an onboarding or curation project; it's much more than that, and it's a project that keeps evolving and growing. And of course, we are not perfect; we have made mistakes in the past, but we have learned from them.
