Highly agreed.
There are a few core issues. Hive is a powerhouse of opportunities for those who want to develop on. However, those who do (and request funding from the DAO) are like getting paid for renting a spot (which should -not- be the case). There are no tangible deliverables, or returns to the DAO/DHF.
There are some deliverables but not followed up properly. For example, the Hive movie. it has been sold, but it has been paid for with Hive community funds. Did the community ever see this movie besides at HF? I haven't, I cant even search for it. Wild. I cant even share it. Who got paid though? I dont know.
There is very little to no buy pressure for anyone on the chain to buy (and use) Hive other than governance. Which currently seems a bit congested by the same people (which are doing an awesome job) for the last couple of years.
Before a rebrand, or even branding/marketing, we need to solve these core issues.
Questions; how are we going to ramp up -buy pressure-. Why is everything 'free'? Why is nothing flowing back to the DAO/DHF? We give, and we get so little in return. You could say that the value that is flowing out of the DAO is sometimes off balance when it comes down to flowing back into our eco system.
Also, which is unfortunately, the professionals we need are not going to settle for $20 HBD an hour (including myself). I would love to be part of it, as it has been my work for almost 2 decades now.
